Outlook vs. Webmail: What works best for you?

January 5th, 2008 admin Posted in Email No Comments »

Our hosting clients have a wide variety of choices when it comes to their business email. It really boils down to how you work, travel and utilize your email. MH1 clients can access all of their email settings and management tools through their Control Panel or “cPanel”.

Email clients (or programs) such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express work very well with our email service. Emails are actually downloaded on to your hard drive using these email clients.

MH1 Hosting customers also have the choice of using webmail. This stores duplicates of your inbox emails on our server so you can access them from any computer with Internet access. Just go to: http://www.yourwebsiteadress.com/webmail. The account holder must enter their login (the email address) and their email password to access this MH1 webmail account.

There are two webmail formats offered for your convenience.. Horde Mail and Squirrel Mail. We prefer Horde but the choice is yours. To learn more about setting up and managing your MH1 Hosting email accounts, visit: http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cpanel/cp11/cPanel-11-User-Manual.htm.
